A group of ladies from the Auto-Sleepers Accounts department have raised over £700.00 for cancer research after successfully completing the Race For Life over the weekend.
The event began at Stratford racecourse with more than 2,000 people entered – a truly fantastic turnout for a very worthy cause. Held in temperatures of over 30 degrees Celsius the run was no easy task with many struggling to complete the distance in some of the highest temperatures recorded this year! However the representatives from Auto-Sleepers Accounts department held their own in some stylish company branded vests with all of them completing the race in well under an hour and one member even wearing some rather tasteful and suitably patriotic England shorts!
Comrades Barbara Pugh and Rachael Sutton crossed the line first followed closely by Angela Gittus and Suzanna Edwards with the remainder following shortly afterwards.
A big congratulations goes out to all who took part on behalf of the staff at Auto-Sleepers and next year we hope to see even more entrants from the company joining in.
