Vehicle Type Approval

Always at the forefront of safety and security, for both coachbuilt and van based motorhomes, Auto-Sleepers are pleased to announce that all their products have been approved to the European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval Directive (ECWVTA). Approval was obtained through the British Government Agency, the VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) last summer.

From the 29th April 2012, it will not be possible to register a Motorhome which does not have the appropriate certification. After being subjected to rigorous inspection and testing by the VCA, all Auto-Sleepers Group motorhomes have been approved as M1 (Special Purpose Vehicles) and have received a unique Type Approval number, which is displayed on the vehicle.

Not only does this certification concentrate on the safety and security of the vehicle and its occupants, but also takes into consideration their effects on the environment.

Auto-Sleepers “Motorhomes of Excellence” are now fully certified to carry the tag “European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approved Motorhomes of Excellence”.
